What is Sandlot ?
Sandlot Baseball & Softball Academy is a practice, training and instructional facility for baseball and softball that provides both, private and team instruction, indoor batting cages, pitching tunnels, equipment and apparel.

Our Mission
It is the mission of Sandlot to become the premier provider of baseball and softball training in Louisiana. At Sandlot we have a motto, "Learning Life through the Game of Baseball". This attitude permeates throughout everything we teach. Our one-of-a-kind, specialized baseball program goes beyond just the physical training on the field. The core of our teaching begins with heart, attitude, mental and physical training. Our goal is to instill a life-long learning system for both mind and body. Our program is also designed to help parents create successful, dedicated, and respectful children by reinforcing positive values in our unique baseball setting. We relate the successes and failures in baseball to those in life and how to overcome the challenges faced by realizing them, finding a solution and then implementing a plan to create success. Students not only learn how to play baseball, but also learn self-confidence by setting and reaching goals, self-esteem by continual growth, improvement on and off the field, and respect for others and themselves.

Sandlot Programs
At Sandlot, we provide hands-on training and guidance by trained instructors and coaches. Students learn the fundamentals of baseball and softball using simple drills and visual / tactile learning systems. Our training programs use drills and exercises designed to increase the player's strength and speed which is beneficial in all parts of the game.

The Mental Side
At Sandlot, we realize that each student has different physical abilities and potential. By emphasizing strong foundational skills, our students enhance their physical capabilities and nurture their self-esteem through self-improvement. We set specific, individual, and challenging goals and help our students reach their full potential. At Sandlot, we believe the keys to success, on and off the field, are patience, focus, hard work and setting goals.
